Al Ahly will face off Bayern Munich in the Club World Cup semi-finals in Qatar. And Pitso Mosimane said that in order to compete European champions,  they need to construct the perfect game plan.

The Red Devils had to overcome Qatari champions Al-Duhail in the previous round, in what was a narrow 1-0 win for the Cairo giants.

However, if they plan on putting a challenge for the tournament’s favourites, they will need to improve their performance. Something Mosimane is very aware of and busy about.

“We have to pick the perfect plan for the match against Bayern Munich. And all the players have to be fully concentrated.” Pitso told Al Ahly’s official website.

“We are facing a strong team with many talented players. Analyzing the opponent and their tactics is very important. But we are not talking here just about tactics. And we must be in our best shape to produce a strong performance.

“We have to avoid making the mistakes of our opening match against Al Duhail SC.

“We are taking the Club World Cup step by step. In the beginning, we wanted to win the CAF Champions League title to qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup. Then we wanted to defeat Al Duhail SC to reach the semi-finals. Now, we are facing a tough challenge against the European champions.

“I wish to wear our home red kit against Bayern Munich. And I am waiting for our fans’ support to help us put on a strong performance in the match.” He concluded.

Mosimane has a perfect record so far since signing for Al Ahly in October of last year. 18 games won and drawing four of his 22 games in charge.

He will hope to retain that record next Monday, in what will undoubtedly be his biggest challenge yet.
