Chippa United coach, Dan Malesela, believes the DStv Premiership club’s signing of seasoned internationals Anthony Laffor and Ayabulela Konqobe would add value to the team.

“I am thrilled to have the experience of both Anthony and Ayabulela to bolster our squad,” Malesela told the club’s website.

“We welcome them both to the Chilli Boys family, as we look at reinforcing in key positions, and also towards our ambitions for
this season.”

The website reports that the duo have signed until the end of the season with an option of renewing their stay in Port
Elizabeth for two seasons.

Laffor, the 35-year-old Liberian, made a name in South Africa football circles with SuperSport United then Mamelodi Sundowns, winning the CAF Champions League with them.

On the other hand, Konqobe (23) is the former South Africa Under-20 international who has returned from a stint in Finland.

Chippa travel to face Bloemfontein Celtic on February 13 2021 in a league match.

Chippa are on position 13 with 13 points from 14 games.

Mamelodi Sundowns lead the table with 33 points from 15 games.
