Kenyan Premier League Patrick Aussems “happy” to be appointed new AFC Leopards head coach

Kenyan Premier League side AFC Leopards have announced experienced Belgian manager Patrick Aussems as their new head coach.

The 55-year-old has a lot of experience in African as he trained in the past clubs the like of Tanzanian giants Simba SC, Sudanese powerhouse Al-Hilal and Congo side AC Leopards.

As he loves coaching Leopards, his new assignement with AFC is to help them in ending Gor Mahia’s hegemony in the league.

“Patrick Aussems has been appointed as the new AFC Leopards Sports Club Head Coach,” AFC announced on their official website.

“He joins the Club after a successful stint at Tanzania’s Simba SC where he guided Simba S.C. to the Tanzanian Premier League title in 2018/19 and reached the quarter finals of the CAF Champions League.” they added.

The UEFA PRO Coaching License accredited also shared delight after joining the club.

“Happy to be the new head coach of AFC Leopards and assist the club to regain its lost glory”.

After their goalless draw to Gor Mahia last week, they will take on Bandari on February 19.

However, he will be in charge for the first time, on Saturday for Leopards’ FKF Cup match against Taita Taveta All Stars in Wundanyi.
