African players abroad Mostafa Mohamed Finds No Difference Between Galatasaray And Zamalek Fans

Galatasaray newly signed striker, Mostafa Mohamed, said that he felt the same love from Galatasaray fans as he felt from Zamalek fans back home. Mohamed joined Galatasaray on one-and-a-half loan deal from Zamalek. And he hit the ground running in the Turkish Super Lig.

He scored on debut from the penalty spot. And he produced a great performance in the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe days later, scoring the winning goal.

On Tuesday, the Egypt international was officially presented in a press conference along with the club’s newest signings Gedson Fernandes, Henry Onyekuru and DeAndre Yedlin.During the press conference he compared Galatasaray with his boyhood club. And he thanked the Yellow and Reds fans for their constant support.

I’m happy to be with a new family. And I thank everyone who contributed to my transfer here, be it the club president, the officials or Fatih Terim.” Said the 23-year-old.

I didn’t feel any difference, I just feel like I’m in my second home.

“I thank the fans for their support and love for me and the club, I felt the same love that I found in Zamalek. This is what encouraged me the most.“I’m glad I found the Galatasaray fans love their club just as the fans of Zamalek love their club.

“I actually received an offer from Fenerbahce last summer, and then Galatasaray showed interest in me last month.

“I’m happy to be in the biggest team in Turkey, and happy with my new family and the fans.” He concluded.

Mohamed now has two goals in two appearances for Galatasaray. And he will hope to replicate this kind of performance when his side host Alanyaspor on Wednesday in the quarter-finals of the Turkish Cup.
