Africa Soccer GABON : IVORIAN SPORTS MINISTER IN GABON TO CAMPAIGN FOR CANDIDATE JACQUES ANOUMA

Ivorian Minister of Sports, Claude Paulin Danho, is reportedly in Gabon to campaign for compatriot Jacques Anouma.

Anouma is vying for the Confederation of African Football (CAF) presidency.

The elections are scheduled for March 12 2021 in Rabat, Morocco.

Gabon FA (Fegafoot) website reports that Danho had an audience with Gabon President, Ali Bongo Ondimba.

Objective of this meeting is to promote the candidacy of Jacques Anouma for election for the presidency of the African Football Confederation,” Fegafoot website reports.

Anouma is currently a member of FIFA Executive Committee.

Other candidates vying for the CAF presidency are Patrice Motsepe (South Africa), Augustin Sengho (Senegal) and Ahmed Yahya (Mauritania) whereas incumbent Ahmad Ahmad was disqualified.
