Fifa has given the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) the nod to hold elections for its four provinces.

A statement from FAZ says the elections in the remaining provinces will be held from February 16 to 27 2021.

In the statement, FAZ General Secretary, Adrian Kashala, says elections in the remaining four provinces will start from February 16 2021.

Notice is hereby given following the guidance from FIFA culminating from the Electoral Process meeting held with different parties last year, the Association has been guided to proceed with the remaining four provincial elections which shall be held with effect from 16th February 2021 leading up to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 27th February 2021.

“The agenda remains as earlier circulated before the Electoral Process was halted. Kindly note that all relevant stakeholders that attended the FIFA meeting have been informed accordingly,” Kashala says in a communique.

The FAZ electoral process was suspended on March 12, 2020 following a court action by a non-member Damiano Mutale.

All aggrieved parties met on July 11 2020 under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and signed a consent judgment that nullified all court actions.

Subsequently, FIFA presided over a ceasefire in November last year that was attended virtually by the minister of sports Emmanuel Mulenga, National Sports Council of Zambia chairperson Patrick Mutimushi, FAZ president Andrew Kamanga and the aggrieved parties represented by their lawyers.
