Asante Kotoko

Asante Kotoko have lost (1-2) their CAF Confederation Cup play-off first round match to Algerian club ES Sétif after having opened the scoring.

Kwame Opoku scores the opener for Asante Kotoko (72 minutes) with Emmanuel Gyamfi assisting the goal from a delightful pass to Opoku inside the Sétif penalty area and he slotted in coolly without hesitation.

However, the Porcupine Warriors failed to secure this advantage longer as they conceded the equalizer two minutes later as Ammoura gave hope to the visitors.

They scored a second goal ten minutes before the full-time.

However, Kotoko could have scored the equalizer, but Naby Keita’s penalty was saved by ES Sétif stickman Sofiane Khedaira.

The second leg takes place next Sunday at 17:00 GMT.
