AFCON U20 AFCON : Cameroon edge past hosts Mauritania in opener

Cameroon are the team who grabbed the first three points of the U20 AFCON with their short (0-1) win over Mauritania tonight at Nouakchott Olympic Stadium.

The young Indomitable Lions have the tournament start they wished with this win on their first game.

Mauritania have been a tough opponent for the men of Christophe Ousmanou as they kept their nets clean until the 81st minute before conceding the unique goal.

Indeed, Cameroon striker Jang Sunday Junior secure maximum points for the country of Samuel Eto’o as he dismissed the goalkeeper and pushed aside through his dribbling ability, the defender to smash the ball into the net.
