Following the resignation of Kosta Papic on Monday, Hearts of Oak have appointed U-15 coach Samuel Nii Noi as interim head coach. Coach Nii Noi will take charge of the team on interim basis. As the club continue to search for a permanent coach.

The Serbian gaffer parted ways with the club following failure to come to terms with top officials over his employment and claims of interference.

According to sources, the coach has received offers from clubs including one in South Africa. And he subsequently asked the club last week if he could leave.

Last week, Asare Bediako resigned as the assistant coach. While goalkeepers’ trainer Ben Owu also resigned along with Papic.

It is understood that former player turned coach, Yaw Preko, is the likely candidate to take over the vacant Hearts of Oak head coach job.

The gaffer recently had a short stint with Great Olympics where he impressed.

Meanwhile, other sources say that youth team head coach Edward Nii Odoom could step in as the head coach in the meantime.
