Africa Soccer Egypt Reject New Kaizer Chiefs – Wydad Casablanca Caf Champions League Match Date

After changing the date of the game between Morocco’s Wydad Casablanca and South African Side Kaizer Chiefs in Caf Champions League group stage, the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) apologised for not hosting the game.

The EFA issued a statement to apologise to the Confederation of African Football and the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. Because “the new date and circumstances surrounding the game don’t match the current commitments.”

The game was initially scheduled to be played in Morocco on 13th February before the Moroccan authorities refused to let the South African into the country.

Then CAF decided to postpone the game to 19th February with the approval of Wydad and the EFA which chose El-Salam Stadium in Cairo to host the game.

It was reported Kaizer Chiefs requested from CAF to postpone the game until 28 February due to their busy schedule. Morocco approved, and both sides are waiting for CAF’s approval.
