French Ligue 2 side Ajaccio have signed young striker Jean Botue from Burkina Faso.
The 18-year-old has joined Ajaccio from the Union Sportive of Armed Forces on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
“We’ve been tracking his performances since the start of the season, he’s made an excellent qualifier tournament at CAN U20 and many clubs have asked for him. He wished to join us because we had contacts very early and he thinks it’s the best club for him to progress after leaving Burkina Faso. He is a strong, pretty fast player who has a very good relaxation and is very attracted to the goal,” the club’s sports coordinator Johan Cavalli said.
Botue is happy to play for Ajaccio and hopes to make more progress.
Before joining the French club, Botué flew to Mauritania to play at the Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations with Burkina Faso.
