Egyptian coach Mohamed Fathi has guided Zambian Super League side NAPSA Stars to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in their history.

Napsa trounced Comros’ Ngazi Sport 9-2 in the Preliminary of the competition.

Next, they knocked out Mozambique’s UD Songo in the first round before surprisingly sending Kenyan Premier League heavyweights Gor Mahia to parking in the second round.

NAPSA Stars won the first leg to 1-0 before securing a 2-2 draw at home on Sunday to seal their qualification for the group stages.

They could face Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids FC.
