Uganda Under-17 national football team, The Uganda Cubs, has left for Morocco to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals for that age group.
Uganda coach Hamza Lutalo has travelled with a final 25-man squad for the championship to run from March 13 to 31 in Morocco.
The Cubs are in Group A alongside Morocco, Ivory Coast and Zambia
Uganda Football Federation website says the delegation flew out aboard Ethiopian Airways.
“FUFA Executive Committee Member Agnes Mugena is the Leader of Delegation for the period the team will camp in Morocco before they get into the CAF designated facilities.
Rogers Byamukama-another Executive Member will take over the roles of Leader of Delegation when the tournament proper kicks off,” Uganda Football Federation has said in a statement.
