Guinea book their place for AFCON 2021 after short win over neighbors Mali

Guinea won the West African derby ahead of Mali (1-0) to seal their qualification for AFCON 2021 in Cameroon at General Lassana Conté Stadium this Wednesday.

The men of Didier Six had an obligation to win this game of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers matchday 5.

And Naby Keita and teammates made it as they beat the team of Mohamed Magassouba to be sure of their participation in the Cameroon competition.

The winning goal was scored by second half substitute Seydouba Soumah. Guinea is the second nation after Mali to book their place for the tournament after Mali.

As a reminder, Cameroon (host country), Tunisia, Senegal, Algeria and Burkina Faso have all secured their qualification.
