AFCON AFCON QUALIFIER : Guinea-Bissau soldier on, Eswatini eliminated in Group I

Eswatini crashed out of the race for a place at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals after a 1-3 home loss to Guinea-Bissau on Friday afternoon at Mavuso Sports Centre.

Marcelo Djalo put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute before South Africa-based towering striker Felix Badenhorst leveled matters four minutes later for the hosts.

However, Guinea-Bissau had other ideas in this Group I contest as Alfa Semedo made it 2-1 in the 24th minute.

In the second half, Pele added the third goal in the 50th minute for the coach Baciro Cande-led side.

Eswatini are out of the race as they have one point and wind up the group’s qualifiers by facing already qualified Senegal next week.
