AFCON AFCON: Benin FA Refuse To Turn On Light For Super Eagles To Train

Super Eagles players have been unfairly treated by Benin Football Association ahead of Saturday’s Africa Nations Cup (AFCON) qualifier.
 
Fillers from a reliable source said the Beninoise Football Federation didn’t provide floodlight for the team to train on Friday night.
 
They had to resort to training under darkness with the help of the ray of light from the moon.

In another development, only 20 seats were allocated to supporters from Nigeria who travelled to watch the Super Eagles play and other Nigerians that live in Benin Republic.
 
Journalists that traveled to Benin were locked outside with only 5 media passes granted to about 20 journalists that made the trip.

According to a tweet by Nigeria photojournalist, Victor Modo who is in Benin to cover the game said the Benin FA issued a press release at entrance of the stadium that all journalists, reporters and technicians must present a negative result of their PCR test to covid 19, to the CAF doctor to get access to the stadium
