AFCON Super Eagles defeat Lesotho 3-0 To Maintain Unbeaten Run

Nigeria Super Eagles defeated Lesotho 2-0 to finish top of Group L in the Africa Nations Cup (AFCON) qualifier on Tuesday at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

Having already  booked their ticket for Cameroon 2021, the Super Eagles  showed no mercy to Lesotho who were looking for a win to stand the chance of picking the second ticket in the group.

Victor Osimhen broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute for the host after he had saw his first goal ruled for an offside.

Nigeria enjoyed most of the possessions as the first half ended 1-0.

Oghenekaro Etebo doubled the lead in the 51st minute latching  on to a loose ball to beat the Lesotho goalkeeper.

Paul Onuachu was introduced into the fray in the 74th minute replacing goalscorer Osimhen.

The Genk forward went on to score the third goal in the 83rd minute to make it his second goal in the AFCON qualifier.
