Liga Sergio Ramos hit with new injury, to miss reunion with Mo Salah in Champions league

Real Madrid announced earlier on Thursday that their skipper Sergio Ramos contracted a new injury and will miss his highly-waited reunion with Mohamed Salah in the UEFA Champions league.

The Casa Blanca captain has reportedly contracted a calf injury while he was on international duty with Spain for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

“Following tests carried out today on our captain Sergio Ramos by the Real Madrid Medical Services, he has been diagnosed with a muscle injury in the inner calf of his left leg,” Real Madrid stated.

Reports said will be out for one month and not only will he miss Liverpool clash in the Champions league (April 6), but also, he will miss the Clasico against Barcelona on April 10.

As a reminder, Ramos has just played four minutes with Spain in their tie against Kosovo on Wednesday night.
