Africa Soccer ZAMBIA : Ex-Porto defender joins champions Nkana

Former FC Porto left-back, Emmanuel Mbola, has joined Zambia Super League champions, Nkana FC.

Mbola, who was the youngest player at the 2010 Afcon in Angola aged 16, has joined Nkana as a free agent.

Nkana unveiled Mbola two days after announcing the signing of Zimbabwean midfielder Tichaona Chipunza.

Mbola had been clubless for some months.

Zambianfoot.co.zm has since quoted Mbola saying he was determined to help Nkana return to winning ways.

“The holiday is over now and it is time for hard work and push the team to where it belongs. We have a big task ahead but it’s possible to achieve,” Zambianfoot.co.zm quotes Mbola saying.

The website says Mbola previously played for Afrisports and later Mining Rangers.

The Zambian then signed for Armenian champions Pyunik Yerevan in the 2009/2010 season.

The following season he was on the move back to Africa this time around in Congo at TP Mazembe.

From Congo, Mbola secured a loan move to Porto between 2012 and 2013.

Mbola later joined Hapoel Ra’anana then Bnei Sakhnin, both clubs in Israel.
