Cameroon is the host country of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) to take place early 2022. And the country has launched national art competitions for the proposal of the official anthem and mascot for the continental event.
“The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, President of Cocan 20-21 has the honor to call on attention of the public the opening of the national art competitions for the proposal of the official anthem and the official mascot for the 2022 Total AFCON. The competitions are open from 1st April 2021 to all artists and musicians and visual artists (individual or collective) from Cameroon”. Reads a press release.
We should remind that the group draw for the 2022 AFCON will take place on 25th June while the final phase will be from 9th January to 6th February 2022.
Qualifiers are over with 23 teams that valided tickets for the competition. The 24th remains to add as the game between Sierra Leone and Benin has been postpned.
