Africa Soccer MALAWI : Civo remain only unbeaten team in TNM Super League, go top of table

Civo Service United maintained their 100 percent unbeaten record on Sunday when they saw off Blue Eagles 1-0 to go top of the TNM Super League log table.

Civo have 20 points from 10 games whereas Eagles are on position 10 with 11 points 12 matches on the 16-member log table.

Lanken Mwale scored the only goal of the game in Lilongwe as Civo leapfrogged by a point city rivals, Silver Strikers, who were not in action.

Silver have a game in hand.

Elsewhere, Be Forward Wanderers returned with three points from two games in the Northern Region after they lost 1-0 to Moyale Barracks FC at Mzuzu Stadium on Sunday.

The result saw the Nomads fail to build on their 2-1 win over Ekwendeni Hammers the previous day.

Wanderers have 10 points from nine games while lying 11th on the log table, two places ahead of Moyale who have nine points, thanks to Llyod Njaliwa’s strike.

In another game, Khumbo Ng’ambi’s goal handed bottom-placed Chitipa United a 1-0 win over Mafco FC on Sunday.

It was Chitipa’s second win 10 games this season and they remain bottom with seven points.

Defending champions, Nyasa Big Bullets occupy seventh place with 15 points from eight games.
