The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has consoled Super Eagles and Galatasaray forward Henry Onyekuru over the demise of his mother.
Onyekuru lost her mum to the cold hands of death on Wednesday.
His club Galatasaray confirmed the demise of Jessy Onyekuru on Wednesday morning via a tweet.
NFF also followed suit by sending their condolence to the player and his family.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of @NGSuperEagles forward, @henryconyekuru, following the sad passing of his dear mother. May her soul Rest In Peace.”
Earlier on Galatasaray tweeted;
“We have learned with great sadness that our footballer, Henry Onyekuru’s precious mother, Jessy Onyekuru,” the club tweeted.
“We share the pain of Henry Onyekuru and his family and extend our condolences and patience.”
Onyekuru however, uploaded a lighted candle emoji to confirm the story.
The forward is currently on loan from Monaco for the third time and have scored five goals in 12 appearances for Galatasaray.
