The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) giants, TP Mazembe, have fallen on hard times.
The Lubumbashi team’s struggles are evidenced by the exit from the CAF Champions’ League group stages.
Nonetheless, Mazembe want to bow out of the continental competition with some measure of dignity when they line up against Al Hilal of Sudan today Friday.
“It is Friday April 9 that the curtain of the group stage of the Champions League 2021 will fall in Kamalondo. The already eliminated TPM receives Al Hilal from Sudan with the mission of winning. It takes a success to finish third in the group, that is the objective set for this meeting,” Mazembe website reports.
“To end on a high note, the Ravens took the meeting seriously and have been interned at the Futuka CEF since Tuesday evening. Al Hilal, the opponent of TPM arrived this Wednesday afternoon on a chartered flight. The Sudanese trained at the TPM Stadium at 4.30pm and are keen to push the Ravens in their stronghold to qualify!”
