CAF Champions League CAF LEAGUE : Gavin Hunt coy on Khama Billiat’s selection for Horoya game

South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs FC coach, Gavin Hunt, has said he is yet to decide whether to throw into action Zimbabwean flying winger, Khama Billiat, in Saturday night’s game.

Hunt said this ahead of Chiefs match against Guinea hosts, Horoya AC, in the CAF Champions League group stage match.

Hunt was speaking during a pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of the match scheduled for GLC Stadium in Nongo.

“Yes, Billiat is a very important player, but I will wait until tomorrow to see if he can play or not. It is true that it is going to be a difficult game. Besides, I consider Horoya AC as the favorite of this meeting, ” he said.

Billiat has not featured for Chiefs for some months after suffering from an injury. However, he has now recovered and resumed training with the Soweto giants.

Hunt said he expects Chiefs to have a run for their money against the favourites Horoya in this Group C contest.

“We expect a very difficult game. In South Africa already, it was quite complicated. I already know this Horoya team, we played against them with Bidvest in a small stadium. This time it will be difficult in a big stadium, but we are coming to make a result, ” he said.

Horoya coach Lamine Ndiaye said they were calm ahead of the match.

“I feel the players are relaxed and eager to do battle. I think there is fun and that after all the efforts that have been made, there is only one thing left, and that is to materialize everything that has been done since the beginning.

As they say, it’s when you go through matches like this, it gives you morale. And as you also know in the championship, we have some delay to fill. So it may galvanize my players. It will give an extra punch,” he is quoted saying.
