Arsenal skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is being treated at hospital as the 31-year-old forward contracted malaria on national duty with Gabon in March.
Auba scored in Gabon 3-0 win over DR Congo on the matchday 5 of the AFCON 2021 qualifiers.
Since his return to London, the former Borussia Dortmund star played just few games with the Gunners including the first leg of Europa League quarter-final clash against Slavia Prague.
However, Aubameyang could not play tonight (Arsenal leading 3-0 at half-time) for the second leg.
“I’ve spent a few days in hospital this week,” he said on Instagram.
“I’m already feeling much better every day, thanks to the great doctors that detected and treated the virus so quickly.
“I wasn’t really feeling myself the last couple weeks but will be back stronger than ever soon!”
