Egypt Egypt Second Division Side Al Nasr FC Parted Ways With Head Coach Sayed Eid

Egypt Second Division side Al Nasr FC have announced the departure of first-team head coach Sayed Eid. The coach parted ways with the club after a 15-year of partnership.

Al Ahly faced Al Nasr in the round of 32 of the Egypt Cup, with the Red Devils coming out on top. But it was no easy task for the African Champions.

Walid Soliman opened the scoring in the dying moments of the first half. Al Nasr then equalized at the start of the second half through Ahmed El-Saeedy. Walter Bwalya then after scored the winner not long after to send the Reds to the next round.

Following the game, the club announced legendary manager Sayed Eid will leave after having spent 15 years with the club.

During that time, Eid was able to guide the Cairo-based club to the Egyptian Premier League for the first time in their history in 2014. However, despite collecting 29 points, the club suffered an instant relegation.

Three seasons later, Al Nasr returned back to the top tier. But once again they finished bottom of the table and got relegated. Since then, the club has been playing in the second division.

Despite his historic achievements with the club, they decided to relieve him from his duties as they are having a disastrous season, sitting just two points away from the relegation zone with ten games remaining.
