Africa Soccer ZIMBABWE : Dynamos win Independence Trophy

Zimbabwe football heavyweights, Dynamos FC won the pre-season Independence Trophy at the National Sports Stadium in Harare on Sunday.

Dynamos beat rivals Highlanders 2-0 to win the silverware behind closed doors in view of the Covid-19 pandemic preventive measures.

Trevor Mavhunga gave Dynamos the lead in the sixth minute after a rare gaffe by Highlanders goalkeeper Ariel Sibanda.

Bad became worse in the second stanza for Highlanders as vice-captain followed the bad example of Sibanda in scoring an own goal in the 50th minute.
