Egyptian Players abroad Mostafa Mohamed Back To Galatasaray squad As Recovered From Covid-19

Galatasaray and Egypt international striker Mostafa Mohamed has fully recovered from Covid-19. And he is expected to make an appearance for his side this weekend.

Mohamed had an impressive start with Galatasaray since joining them on loan in January from Cairo giants Zamalek.

The 23-year-old managed to score six goals in his first six appearances in the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup. However, he hasn’t found the back of the net since his brace against Erzurumspor in February.

Since then he played five out of Galatasaray’s last seven games, helping get just one win. Mohamed was then left-out of their squad against Göztepe last week after posting a tweet revealing that he tested positive for Covid-19, before removing it.

While there was no official confirmation as to why he missed both games, several reports confirmed that it was corona-related.

Now, Galatasaray have announced on Saturday morning that Mostafa Mohamed ended his quarantine period. And he underwent three swab test which all came back negative.

He will, therefore, be included in the squad for their game against Antalyaspor on Saturday night. Galatasaray currently sit third on the Turkish Super Lig table with 66 points. They are three away from the UEFA Champions League spots and six behind leaders Besiktas.
