African players abroad ZAMBIA : Oostende boss donates to Zambian football star’s home village

Belgian club Oostende president, Franck Dierckens, has made a surprise donation to his striker Fashion Sakala’s village in Zambia.

Sakala confirmed via his twitter handle that Dierckens had donated 500 cartons of clothes and sports attire to his Eastern Province village.

The Chipolopolo striker confirmed that the 500 boxes containing clothes and sports apparel weigh 3000 kilogrammes.

The striker has since promised to donate the materials to his village.

Sakala is enjoying a rich vein of form this season having scored 13 goals for Oostende.

He helped the club to compete strongly in the UEFA Europa League Play-offs.

Sakala, Enock Mwepu and Patson Daka, both of FC Red Bull Salzburg in Austria, are Zambia’s brightest talents.

All the three players are regulars for the Chipolopolo who are looking forward to the forthcoming Fifa World Cup qualifiers.

Zambia missed out on qualification to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
