Egypt Al Ahly Head Coach Has Requested Signing Sundowns Striker Peter Shalulile

It has been reported that Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane have publicly requested the signing of Mamelodi Sundowns summer arrival and first team striker Peter Shalulile from the Red Devils’ management.

Mosimane did not receive the desirable responses from Al Ahly forwards this season whether in their Egyptian Premier League or Champions League campaigns.

Aside from Mohamed Sherif, the other three forwards on Al Ahly’s roster, Marwan Mohsen, Salah Mohsen and January signing Walter Bwalya, have contributed to a total of two goals for the team this season.

The 56-year-old coach is said to have informed Al Ahly board about his desire to acquire a new striker. And he has his sights set on the Namibia forward.

According to South African outlet The Citizen, Shalulile is on the top of the list of players Mosimane wants at Al Ahly next season.

Sundowns have put a big price tag on his head believed to be no less than $3 million for anyone that wants him, as per the South African source. A French side have also inquired about the 27-year-old.

Al Ahly have previously been reported to have attempted to sign Gaston Sirino from Masandawana. But the deal failed as the two parties could not agree on transfer fees.
