African players abroad “Victor Osimhen Will Become A Top Player In The World” – Mario Notaro

Former coach of Victor Osimhen at Sporting Charleroi, Mario Notaro has tipped the Napoli striker to become a global superstar in the future.

The Nigeria national teamer was linked with a plethora of big clubs last summer. But he ended up joining Napoli for a club record fee of 70 million euros, with Lille cashing in following an outstanding season that saw him score 18 goals in all competitions.

Osimhen struggled in the first half of season but has improved. And he is growing more and more in confidence since recovering from a head injury in early March.

The 22-year-old has scored six goals and bagged an assist in his last ten matches, whereas he could only find the net on two occasions in his previous sixteen games across all competitions.

I must say that you could already see he was very strong. Napoli has taken on a striker who will assert himself a lot.” Notaro said on Osimhen speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss.

I am convinced that he will become a top player in the world. He is truly extraordinary and has incredible quality. It is no coincidence that he is showing what he is capable of doing.” Continued the coach.

Meanwhile, Champions League-chasing Napoli have received a major injury boost before their Serie A clash with Spezia, with Osimhen spotted in training on Tuesday.

Manager Gattuso was forced to replace Osimhen in the 76th minute against Cagliari after the number 9 suffered an injury in a clash of heads with center back Luca Ceppitelli.
