Africa Soccer SOUTH AFRICA : Safa clears way for Broos, part ways with Molefi Ntseki

South African Football Association (Safa) has announced that it had parted ways with coach Molefi Ntseki.

All along, it was reported that Ntseki had lost his job for failing to take Bafana Bafana to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon.

However, it appears Ntseki was still legally an employee of Safa.

Therefore, following the appointment of Hugo Broos as Bafana Bafana coach, Safa has moved in to clear the path for the Belgian.

Ntseki, who was appointed as Bafana Bafana head coach back in August 2019 after playing an assistant role to previous coach Stuart Baxter for two years where they reached the quarterfinals of the 2019 Afcon, leaves the association after overseeing nine international matches.

“Under Ntseki’s watchful eye, Bafana Bafana won four, drew two and lost three of the nine international matches played,” Safa says in the press release

Molefi also managed junior national teams in South Africa.

He led the Under-17 team to the 2015 Fifa World Cup and Afcon.

Molefi also served as a coach for the under-23 team.
