Former Ghana midfielder Stephen Appiah snubbed Asamoah Gyan in his top 5 Black Stars players in the last three decades.

The former Juventus star provoked a stir on social media on Monday as he named his top five Black Stars players who according to him are the best from 1992 to 2021.

And Appiah excluded Ghana’s all-time top scorer Gyan (51 in 109 appearances) as he included himself as the first, Abedi Pele second, Tony Yeboah third, Michael Essien fourth and Richard Kingson as the fifth.

Fans automatically reacted to this top five list saying Stephen Appiah is yet to digest the fact that Asamoah Gyan refused to let him the penalty he missed against Uruguay during World Cup 2010 in South Africa.
