Manchester City launches its Football School in Egypt

English Premier League side Manchester City has announced that they teamed up with IMKAN Misr to launch their first Football School in Egypt.

Manchester City Football School concerned players within 5 and 16 years and they will be taught the City football system from their young age.

“The Manchester City Football School will provide authentic and creative football coaching programs for players aged between 5-16, using the coaching philosophy and methodology of Manchester City”, Man City wrote on their official website.

“The School, based within the Alburouj development in East Cairo, will include a Manchester City coaching team, 11-a-side natural turf pitch, classrooms, changing rooms, medical room and a catering area”.

Jorgina Busquets, Managing Director – Football Education & Recreation for City Football Group expressed delight following the announcement.

“We are delighted to be bringing our first Manchester City Football School in Africa into the Alburouj development“, she said.

“We are looking forward to creating a great experience, through the presence of the Head Coach Jamie Lee, and the rest of the coaching staff, based on the same approach and methodology that we use in our programs in Manchester, albeit appropriate to the level of each player.”

On the other hand, Abdalla El Nockrashy, CEO of Imkan Misr could not hide his pride to see a project of this caliber being realized in his region.

“By partnering up with top tier alliances such as Manchester City, this collaboration comes as a part of Alburouj’s commitment to breathe life into a community that has been created to exemplify the importance of wellbeing.”

The launch of the school will include a summer camp that will be held between June 2021 and August 2021, with the official opening of the club taking place in October 2021.
