Nigeria Iheanacho Enters Premier League History Record

Kelechi Iheanacho entered Premier League history as he became the first player to score on all weekdays in the league.

 
Iheanacho scored in the 76th minute after he was assisted by compatriot Wilfred Ndidi as Leicester suffered a 2-1 loss to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
 
The forward has been in perfect scoring form for the Foxes as he has now netted 12 Premier League goals in the 2020/2021 Premier League season.

After both sides failed to score in the first half, Chelsea finally broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half courtesy of Antonio Rudiger’s goal.
 
Jorginho doubled the lead for the hosts from the spot in the 66th minute after Wesley Fofana tripped on Timo Werner.
 
Iheanacho gave his scored to reduce the deficit, but that was not enough to stop a wounded Chelsea side from taking the points home.
 
With the result, Leicester City hope of getting a Champions League spot is hanging on the balance as a victory for Liverpoo will see them overtake the Foxes on the log.
