Nigeria Kano Pillars Management Honours Musa With Award Of Excellence

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has awarded Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa with an award of excellence.

The award is coming few days after Musa made his much awaited return to the NPFL for his boyhood club, Kano Pillars.
The Super Eagles captain joined the Sai Ma Su Gida side till end of the season after failing to secure a move on the winter transfer window.
Musa played his first NPFL game upon his return to his boyhood club against Adamawa United and provided the assist for club captain Ali Rabiu to score the only goal of the game.

The award was presented to Musa by management of the team under the leadership of Alhaji Idris Muazu Jide.

The former Leicester City player said he decided to return to his boyhood club in order to help improve the image of the country’s football globally.

His agreement with Kano Pillars is that he will be allowed to leave when he finds a club in Europe.

Musa has been without a club since leaving Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr in October.

In January, he almost joined Premier League club West Bromwich Albion but the deal failed to materialize.
