Mozambique ZAMBIA : FAZ lines up friendlies for Chipolopolo, Copper Queens

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has arranged friendlies for the men’s senior team, Chipolopolo and women’s senior team, Copper Queens.

In a statement, FAZ General Secretary, Adrian Kashala, says the Copper Queens date Mozambique on May 30 and Chipolopolo will play Senegal on June 5.

We have been working with the technical bench to identify opponents for preparatory matches for our senior Men’s National Team and the Copper Queens,” Kashala says.

I am glad to announce that Senegal has agreed to play us on June 5, 2021 in Thies while we are in talks with two other nations for the possible engagements.

“Our Copper Queens will play Mozambique on May 30, 2021 in Maputo. We are in talks with other teams to play our senior Women National Team as part of preparations for the Olympic Games and the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.”

Chipolopolo are also expected to face two more sides before the World Cup qualifiers in September this year.

In the World Cup qualifiers, Zambia were drawn alongside Tunisia, Mauritania and Equatorial Guinea in the second qualifying round.

On the other hand, the Copper Queens are warming up for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and Africa Women Championship qualifiers.

The Copper Queens date Malawi next month in the first round of qualifying matches for the Olympics.

Malawi has since regrouped for camp training in Blantyre.
