Nigeria Professional Football League(NPFL) side Wikki Tourists have appointed Baba Jibrin as interim technical adviser.

The announcement was made on Thursday following the resignation of their former technical adviser Usman Abdallah Shariff on Monday.

Abdallah tendered his resignation following what he described as unfair treatment of players including recent poor run of results.

The management of the club decided to turn to Jibrin to guide the club until another technical adviser is appointed.

Jibrin was a member of the 1987 Golden Eaglets squad that represented Nigeria at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Canada.

His first game will be an away trip to Jos against Plateau United in a Matchday 23 fixture.

Wikki has won just six games from 21 games this season, lost 9, and drawn six.
