Africa Soccer CAF CL : 10,000 fans to watch Simba, Kaizer Chiefs clash

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has reportedly granted permission for 10,000 fans to watch Simba SC match against Kaizer Chiefs in Tanzania on Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Football also announced that they have granted Simba SC permission to play Saturday’s match in front of 10 000 fans at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Chiefs last played in front of spectators in March 2020 and the experience will motivate them,” Chiefs website states.

The Soweto struggling giants arrived in Dar es Salaam on Thursday and underwent Covid-19 tests.

The good news is that everyone received a negative result and were all able to swiftly move to their hotel,” Chiefs website adds.

Chiefs have travelled with 23 players for the second leg.

The travelling party will be required to undergo another test this evening at the hotel which will give them access to enter the stadium and play the match. The test will also be used to travel back to South Africa,” the website says.

The South African club will go into the CAF Champions League quarterfinal second leg match carrying a 4-0 lead from the first leg.

However, Simba coach Didier Gomes is certain that his team can bounce back and cause one of the biggest upsets in the continental competition.
