A part of Orlando Pirates fans are demanding the club officials to sack head coach Josef Zinnbauer following the abysmal CAF Confederation Cup exit against Raja Casablanca.
The Bucs have been knocked out in a disappointing fashion against the Moroccan side who beat them 4-0 in the second leg after drawing with the Dstv Premiership side (1-1) in the first leg in South Africa.
And as Pirates are no longer in contention for the league title as well as the Nedbank Cup where they have been seen off, some fans think this is the right time to part ways with the German tactician.
“We are tired of our coach. He has lost the plot. How can you play each and every game without a striker even though you want goals? We are tired bro,” a fan who took part in the march organized to demand Zinnbauer’s departure told KickOff.com.
“Our coach doesn’t have a plan B and we cant beat any team because most teams know our strategy of false No. 9 and it’s not working. He is clueless. I think he must accept and resign. Pirates is bigger than him.
“We have organised a peaceful march to Orlando Stadium on June 5 to demand the club gets us a new coach. It’s a peaceful march. We are not going to tolerate violence from our supporters, this is just a peaceful march.
“We would also like to urge them to bring masks and adhere to the Covid-19 protocols.
“With the quality of players at Pirates, we should be challenging for every trophy this season. We are tired of Zinnbauer, he must go.”
