Ivorian forward Gervinho has completed move to Trabzonspor on a free transfer. The 34-year-old, who celebrated his birthday on Thursday, has signed a two-year deal with the Trabzon-based club following Parma’s relegation from Serie A.
Gervinho could only manage five goals in 27 appearances last season as Parma finished bottom of the league table.
“I am not a person who likes to talk too much. I prefer to talk in the field by doing my job. This project is a project I believe in. I am happy to be a part of this family.” Gervinho told the club website.
“I also thank Parma for the convenience they showed in my transfer. I, my wife and my family are happy to be here.”
“I’m here to help the team. I know my team will help me too.” He added.
Trabzonspor managed a fourth-place finish in the Turkish Super Lig last season. And they will be hoping that the acquisition of the former Arsenal forward will take them to even greater heights.
