Ghanaian teenage sensation Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will reportedly join Portuguese top-flight side Sporting Lisbon on loan from Liverpool where he signed a five-year-contract.

The loan deal between the two parties has no certain time limit, with Liverpool indicating the player will undergo development in Portugal until he can play for the Reds in the English Premier League, according to Ghana media reports.

The agreement with Sporting does not only serve the football interests of Liverpool, but also the player’s growth.

Besides offering him further development, the winger will have otherwise struggled to secure a work permit in England after only turning 17 in March.

The young star is, however, expected back in Ghana as the Black Stars prepare for friendlies with Morocco and South Africa.
