Egypt Pitso Mosimane needs to improve his squad in the transfer window – Gomaa

Pitso Mosimane

Al Ahly legend Wael Gomaa highlighted some sectors of play that Pitso Mosimane will have to improve in the coming transfer window.

The South African manager lifted another trophy with Al Ahly as the Red Devils beat RS Berkane 2-0 to win the CAF Super Cup. His fourth with the Cairo outfit.

‘Jingles’ achieved those performances with the workforce left by his predecessor Rene Weiler apart from some players the likes of Walter Bwalya and Taher Mohamed who arrived after him.

Now, Gomaa suggests it is time for him to sign the players fit for his preferred tactical system to bolster his squad.

“Al Ahly are achieving good numbers and exploits but the performance is not so satisfying in the recent period,” the three-time AFCON winner told Nogoom FM, as per Kickoff.

“I think Mosimane is lucky to be at Al Ahly, there are some things he needs to improve soon. There is a consensus regarding his success and performance will improve in the upcoming period because there isn’t a stacked schedule anymore.

“A manager has to have his own pre-season and choose his own players. I think Al Ahly need a striker, playmaker and a right back.”
