Namibia NAMIBIA : FA salutes Hotto and Shalulile for winning awards in South Africa

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Peter Shalulile and his Orlando Pirates counterpart Deon Hotto have earned kudos from their home country, Namibia.

Namibia Football Association (NFA) has released a statement congratulating Hotto and Shalulile for winning awards in South Africa in the just-ended season.

In the statement, NFA Secretary General Franco Cosmos wrote: “the news of your achievements has come as a great delight to all of us back home, all your hard work, dedication, discipline and work ethic has paid off”.

“The NFA, the football fraternity and the whole Namibian nation are immensely proud of both of you, and we wish you all the best in the new season 2021/2022.”

Shalulile won Players’ Player and Footballer of the Season Awards while Hotto earned the MTN Last Man Standing Award on Sunday night.

Shalulile has won the top player award for a second successive season after helping Sundowns to the DStv Premiership title.

It was the second season that Shalulile has won the award having also achieved the feat while at Highlands Park FC.

Hotto also made a big impression after helping Pirates to win the MTN Cup.

The winger signed for Pirates after Bidvest Wits FC disbanded.
