Africa Soccer Percy Tau and 6 others ruled out of Bafana Bafana clash against Uganda

South African Football Association (SAFA) announced that Brighton star Percy Tau will miss Bafana Bafana’s friendly match against Uganda on Thursday, June 10.

This comes after the 27-year-old tested positive for Covid-19 and had to leave the training camp.

Not only Tau, but also Teboho Mokoena who tested positive to the deadly virus has been withdrawn from the squad as well as Sipho Mbule.

Meanwhile, Mosa Lebusa, Mothobi Mvala and Rivaldo Coetzee have left their teammates due to injuries.

“Assistant coaches Janevski Cedomir and Helman Mkhalele who will oversee this game in place of coach Hugo Broos have called up Denwin Farmer, Evidence Makgopa (Baroka FC), Njabulo Ngcobo of Swallows and TS Galaxy’s Ethan Brooks”, reads a statement on SAFA’s official website.
