Former Egyptian goalkeeper Ahmed Shobier has rubbished reports that Egypt will host the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
There are rumours that Cameroon could again be stripped off the hosting right with Egypt coming to the rescue like what happened in the 2019 AFCON when Cameroon withdrew their hosting bid for Egypt to step in.
CAF had rescheduled the 2021 AFCON draw initially set to hold June 25 citing COVID-19 as reasons for the decision.
Cameroon Local Organizing Committee immediately approved the postponement with a new date yet to be decided which is fueling speculations that Cameroon are not ready.
