Africa Soccer ZAMBIA : Chipolopolo continue to struggle, lose to Sudan in practice match

Zambia’s struggles continued when they lost 3-2 to Sudan at Al Hilal Stadium on Friday in a practice match.

Sudan went ahead barely after six minutes when Mohammed Abdelharin slotted the ball into the net.

After a few minutes, Sudan doubled the advantage through Athar Altahir.

In response, Zambia levelled matters through striker Brian Mwila.

However, Zambia were pegged back again as Sudan cushioned their lead when Mohamed Abdallah chipped the ball past advancing goalkeeper Mwenya Chibwe.

The hosts led comfortably 3-1 at half-time.

In the second half, Sudan sought to wind down the clock.

However, Mwila was not done yet as he bragged his second goal of the afternoon with five minutes remaining on the clock.

Zambia started their friendlies with a 3-1 loss to Senegal then drew 2-2 with Benin before proceeding to Sudan.

The Chipolopolo are preparing for the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.
