Africa Soccer CAFCC:Kabilye Rally Back To Defeat Coton Sport Away

Algerian side JS Kabilye edge closer to reaching the final of the CAF Confederation Cup after coming from behind to defeat Coton Spory 2-1 in the semi final in Garoua.

Lambert Gueme Araina gave the home team the lead in the 28th minute who powered home a header.

Kabilye fought hard and in the 10 minutes later they came close to equalizing when Malik Raiah touched the ball away from the keeper off Mohamed Benchaira’s pass, but the goal was ruled out by VAR for offside.

The visitors finally got the equalizer through Ahmed Kerroum who scored in the stroke of half time.

Kabilye continued to dominate possession and in the 62nd minute they completed the comeback when Etame turned the ball into his own net in a bid to cut out keeper Rida Bensayah’s sliding pass inside the box.

Cotton began to push for an equalizer and almost did in the 70th minute when  Souaibou Marou touched the ball away from the Kabilye keeper off a cross

However,  a defender was there to clear the ball from entering the net to deny Coton from levelling.

JSK could have added another goal through

Benchaira who had two chances.

His shot was well saved by Coton keeper again his curling freekick came off against the upright as the game ended 2-1.
