Euro 2020 Denmark advance in Euro 2020 last 16 after emphatic win over Russia

Denmark will play in the next round of UEFA Euro 2020 thanks to their large victory over Russia tonight (4-1) as they showed team spirit to make it for Christian Eriksen.

The Danish side was on bottom of group B standings prior to this game but they gathered their forces into one to put down a show which stunned the football world.

Mikkel Damsgaard first shew the way for his teammates in the 38th minute before Yusuf Poulsen followed in his footsteps.

Russian star Artem Dzyuba scored the reducer for his side but Chelsea centre-back Andreas Christensen was there to make it 3-1 for Denmark.

Joakim Maehle netted the fourth goal to secure a second-place finish for Denmark who swept aside Russia to qualify for the round of 16 of the European Championship.

France, England, Austria, Italy, Netherlands, Wales, Belgium, Czech Republic, Sweden and Switzerland are the nations who have already booked their place in the last 16.
