Ghanaian Players abroad Kevin-Prince Boateng set for medicals to rejoin boyhood club Hertha Berlin

Ghanaian forward Kevin-Prince Boateng is on the verge of rejoining Hertha Berlin 14 years after leaving the Bundesliga side as his medicals is planned for Wednesday according to GHANASoccernet.

Boateng joined Hertha Berlin’s Youth side in 2003 and developed his abilities there in such away that he was handed first team promotion in 2007.

However, he was compelled to go out for playing time as he was just 20-year-old at that time. The he joined Tottenham Hotspurs.

The attacking midfielder ( his main position) will then go on to play for a couple of clubs over the years including Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Eintracht Frankfurt and La Liga giants FC Barcelona.

Now, the 34-year-old is set to return home. The aforementioned source revealed that Kevin-Prince Boateng will undergo his medical examination on Wednesday, June 23.

Then, the official announcement will be made on Thursday as both parties have already reached an agreement.

With the former Black Stars midfielder working as pundit for German television station ARD for Euro 2020 after his loan spell at Serie B side AC Monza ended, he will put on again his boots next season.

Returning to top-flight football in a boyhood club is set to be an exciting experience for Boateng who scored 2 goals in 15 appearances with the Black Stars of Ghana.
